Brussels Sprouts with Turkey Bacon
In efforts to make our loved ones 3-day detox a little more bearable, we decided to add a little flavor in the form of bacon to our Brussels sprouts this last week. Well, turns out it was a success and we couldn't wait to share it with you!
- Approximately 20-25 Brussels sprouts, rinsed
- 6 slices of pre-cooked turkey bacon, chopped
- Onion powder to taste
Steam Brussels sprouts in a large steamer for about 30 minutes or until sprouts are tender to touch. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Remove from heat, drain and set aside. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick spray. Scatter sprouts evenly on baking sheet. Using the bottom of a small cup, press down on each sprout, squishing them flat. Sprinkle bacon on top of sprouts evenly. Add onion powder to top of sprouts evenly if desired. Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until crisp. Let cool and enjoy!
