Many patients often wonder if it's okay for them to eat the same thing each day. Our answer isn't always as straight forward as some may hope.
It all depends on preference: some thrive with repetition and others get bored easily. To determine what's best for you, reflect on past weight loss attempts and determine if you easily were bored with your meal plan.
Those who get bored with the same routine and options tend to throw the towel in on a meal plan that is repetitive. Make sure to dedicate time each week to change up your meals. If you thrive off of not having to make too many decisions or like to create a diverse shopping list each week, repetition in your meal plan may be for you! Make sure to get some diversity throughout the day so you meet your nutrient needs. For example: you don't want to eat only green vegetables. Throw in some other hues such as red, orange and purple.
There are also those who have some weeks where eating the same foods each day helps them get through the week without going off plan. Other weeks some dieters get creative when they have the time and resources to dedicate to meal prep.
